We are always striving to expand our livestock. If you have an interest in any of these animals, please check out our For Sale page to see if anything is available!
Belted Galloway Cattle
Our Belted Galloway cattle(“Belties”) are registered with the Belted Galloway Society. The Belted Galloway breed was first recorded during the 16th Century in the former Galloway district of Scotland. Hardiness was necessary for survival in this area. This hardiness is seen in today’s Belted Galloway cattle. They have a very distinctive and pleasing appearance, which includes a shaggy coat of black, red or dun color, and a white band around the middle. They are naturally polled (no horns) and a mature bull weighs within 1800 lbs to 2000 lbs range. Belties produce an exceptionally lean and flavorful meat with dress weight well in excess of 60 percent of live weight. Their medium size and hardiness makes them an excellent choice for grass fed beef. Our cattle are completely pasture raised on grass, with hay supplied over the winter months. A limited supply of beef and breeding stock is available. Check for availability.
Miniature Baby Doll Southdown Sheep
Miniature Southdown Babydoll Sheep are a small breed of naturally polled (no horns) sheep. They are non -aggressive and don't typically bother fences. They have a beautiful smile and a great personality, which makes them great for companionship. Since Babydoll sheep are a heritage breed, they are not prone to many of the modern diseases and parasites that newer breeds are typically more susceptible to. Their small size and lack of horns makes them ideal for training our border collies. Our sheep are registered with the Olde English"Babydoll" Miniature Southdown Sheep Registry. We currently have lambs that will be ready for sale around the beginning of May.
